When did this start. My modem is flashing and they aren’t reporting an outage so it is probably my device. How long has Cox charged for visits from its technicians when you have a problem. For some reason I don’t remember that.

If the problem was because of you, they charge

Cox wants you to pay a tech to come out and troubleshoot their poorly maintained network.

Try bringing it by their office for an exchange. See which one takes less time. You will probably be happy to pay the 70 after that little episode.

It's probably not but they'll say it is.

they want you to pay $10 a month for the cox complete care package and then no service call is ever a charge.

if you knew they were coming out you could have added it and then removed it later. you can only remove it like once every so often without yet another charge.

they should have advised you before they came. perhaps someone from billing can give you a one time credit.. idk, it's always who you talk to. some people no way, yet some are okay..

Cox can go suck some big ones. Can't remember the exact reason why but I was talking to them online in a chat and tried to pay my bill, which I still had like 2 days or something left before the due date. She ended up giving me the total and it was $10 extra. I asked why it was higher and she said it was a $10 online payment fee. I was like WTF is with that, and she ended up waiving the fee. But total bullshite. Again frick cox with a bag of cocks.

<- - - Works for another large telecommunication provider (hint: Lily ).

Anyway, we tell customers that there will be a charge for a technician visit, but we rarely ever actually charge them. Unless it’s very obviously customer-caused, and even then only if we are out there multiple times for the same thing. Obviously, different companies and YMMV, but whatever. Just thought I’d throw that out there.

Yup. There’s that. I’m still on old school DSL at a whopping 3 megs, so I’d consider committing a low-grade felony to get 18 megs at my place. For now my only choices are dsl or satellite which s-u-c-k-s from what I hear.

We are laying a helluva lot of fiber right now though. Turned up 2 major subdivisions out in LP just in the past 2 weeks (Southpoint and Whispering Springs). Something like 2,000 homes I think. So, it’s coming, but not anywhere fast enough.

I call bullshite, I pay mine online every time and no extra $10 fee. I swear, some of you bitch just to bitch about your ISP’s (or insert whatever here) even though you most likely get a good service the majority of the time. You are like my grandmother who walks into a store, it’s hot, then calls to complain about it.

Oh, and move this shite to the Tech Board.

He’s talking about Cox, not cocks. You would definitely know more about the latter.

Got the new cox fiber installed last week (subtle brag). The terminal wasn’t working so they sent another guy out on Sunday. He shows up and says, “oh I don’t do the fiber.” WTF.

They did to us too.
Call them and ask for it to be removed. They did it for us with the quickness. Twice.
