Do we give this guy enough credit?? It has been so nice these last 2 years to actually somewhat trust our D. Underrated part of the franchise if you ask me!

We will start off slow again and everyone will want him fired in the GTs

He's good after the 1st few games. Always takes him a little while to figure it out. Hopefully he gets it together week 1 this year.

We could do a lot worse at DC.

He gets a little ahead of himself and gets too creative in the off-season. By week 3, the defense is usually simplified and that's when they take off.

I don't think it's just him that starts slow. It takes awhile for the players to trust each other and all get on the same page. We will have new players on defense.

The defense really took off with the addition of Apple. I expect them to pick up on week 1 where they left off last season. This is the most confidence I've had in the defense going into the start of the season in a very long time.

Some, but not many. Malcom Brown is the only new starter. CGJ & Mario Edwards are new backups.

The problems (to start the season) are usually in the secondary. Based on that...the defense should catch on quicker this year.

Crawley basically killed us for half the year. It was DeVante Harris in 2017.

Great halftime adjuster. Defense has looked lost in the first half of games giving up chunk yardage at times only to clamp down in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Minus the in season Rams game of course where we did that in reverse order.

Agreed, on the timeline of a full season, he's a rockstar. Just wish he could figure out how to get these guys on the field ready to play in weeks 1 and 2

this ^^^^^

doesnt even matter if 100% of the defense returns with no changes, they still play like shite and cant tackle or cover to save their asses until game 4 or 5

its like he is ok forfeiting the first 4 games like its preseason and its every year, every damn year, so its not a fluke, its by his personal design unless you think guys forget how to tackle and cover after a few months off.
