It's there right now!
It keeps varying when I look but the prices are legitimate and around three hundred bucks or so round trip would be amazing. Play with the dates and see what you come up with.

Le sigh. Just when I want to travel, but not to Paris.....let’s hope something crazy cheap to Rome pops up.

Really? Dayum! Good for you!
For people that can take advantage of these kind of "anomalies" from big cities like Atlanta, these deals can be sweet when they pop up. We live in Nashville, so they don't come up as often and you have factor in having to get to the Atlanta's of the world.
This one came from a service I subscribe to, FareDrop. This is what they just said about Rome:
Atlanta round trips to Rome dropped to $301 for some dates in September through March. These are the lowest fares we've seen in 69 days, much lower than the average $1100.
September 2019: Sample Date ($301)
October 2019: Sample Date ($301)
November 2019: Sample Date ($304)
December 2019: Sample Date ($304)
January 2020: Sample Date ($304)
Feburary 2020: Sample Date ($313)
March 2020: Sample Date ($304)
I've cross-referenced the deals with the airline sites and they're definitely there. Mostly coach.
Also subscribe to Scott's Cheap Airfare. I might not be able to take advantage of all the deals, but I love their results and don't mind paying their annual fee.

Even MSY to CDG is only $755. Guess it ends in March. Quite a deal.

So I went to book the flight on google and it said I had to call Iberia (it was an American flight but they are partners). So I called Iberia who said I have to do it on Iberia.com, but the flight doesn't show on Iberia.com or American for the same price.
Ever had this happen before or have any suggestions? The dates I was going to book are Nov 17-Dec 3rd from ATL - Rome.

Flights appear to be mostly out of philly and o’hare. May make more sense to book that leg only then get to philly or o’hare separately.

No. These deals do come and go pretty quickly in my experience plus you have to look at the airport of origin. We have to drive to or fly to Atlanta to take advantage of some of these. We don't get very many deals through Nashville.
Usually what I've done is I find these deals and then go directly to the website of the airline and book. Or what we've done the last two times is find those deals and then I've been using this agency out of California called alpha flight guru. I tell them what I see online and they are inevitably able to match or beat it for me and find deals I never could have. I have a wife that has to fly premium economy to Europe now so I need to kind of massage the deals I do find. If I was single I would not care and certainly be more flexible in my transportation options.

Go to the british airways site. Iberia is not working. BA is working, but flights are pretty crappy. Two stops from ATL for most, some are direct flights from philly to FCO but some are ATL to philly to Heathrow to FCO.
But its $302 round trip before seat selection.

I appreciate the post! My dad has been talking about going to Rome for months, but wouldn’t pull the trigger. Finally did today though after seeing the RT prices!

be careful flying BA. we paid $1300 for "premium" seating on a nonstop flight from austin to heathrow but it was on a 747-400 so it was circa-1995 premium.

We booked DFW-FCO for $300 RT last week on Delta for Feb. Other days were cheaper.

That is a great deal coming out of Dallas. Do you follow a low flight alert company to find that one? I rarely see good deals out of Dallas.

I found it on secretflying

Which is all divulged up front when you purchase premium seats. BA does add fuel surcharges to long haul flights so one has to be aware of that before booking but it’s all added in before you press the purchase button.

The 630 non-stop. I usually catch it taking off while walking my dog in austin
