Putting out monster brush piles

I took a bundle of tree limbs ,like how you carry firewood, and put wire around them with weights for working out. Dropped it and can't find it. It had 20 pounds holding it down at least. I haven't looked hard for it cuz I wasn't in my boat that day, it May be just fine, but the water is rising up here on black bayou in Benton, and they took my marker buoy out of the lake, but still I'm wondering could it move?
Another question... I got a full size trash can ,the size that's kept outside, but not the one that's given to you with your trash service. That tells u the size... I then filled it with all the branches I could... Now I haven't done anything else but buy saccrete..
It's a pretty small bag and I wonder how much to pour in the trash can. The goal is to take it and drop it vertically, but I have to think it's gonna be tough to get that big arse trash can to sit on the bottom in 15 foot of water vertically..
Anybody see anything wrong with my plans.? Also ,can that brush pile that I talked about first, move with the water rising? I got 20 pounds of barbell weights on there, at least

Man I don't know. I put my brush in a Home Depot five gallon bucket. I mix an 80 pound bag and fill the bucket. I add a 8 by 8 by 16 concert block and drop them. I find you need a lot of weight for a lot of brush.
I have one of those mini-pontoon boats with a platform on a hinge. I lay the bucket and brush down flat. When I get to the spot I lift the platform and drop the piles like depth charges. It works great but it's a lot of work. I hate it so much I only do it three or four times a year.

you have vastly under estimated the force of moving water if you think 20lbs is solid.

My brush piles drop vertically with the bucket down. They settle on the bottom correctly. You fill a trash can with two 80 pound bags it's going to be hard to manipulate. I suppose the most weight I've used is 150 pounds.

50-100lbs for 3-5 limbs is what is suggested as far as I have seen.

I’ve seen a bayou current move a hoop net that was tied to a car transmission. You need more weight..

Put some bamboo in a 5 gallon bucket and fill bucket with crete...repeat.

I just came to say if you can put your Arms around it it’s not very ‘massive’. The common form is to take a 5 gallon bucket and drill holes in it, then add pvc or bamboo. Then fill with cement. You can fit an 80 lb bag of cement in a 5 gallon bucket.

Try sandbags and heavy duty zip ties. Simple , cheap and easy.
