I’d love to go to the game, but until ticket prices start dropping I’m not spending $500+ for me and my wife to be in the nosebleeds. What are the best bars to watch LSU?

I just moved to Austin and know there’s a lot of Louisiana folk here. Where do y’all usually go on Saturdays?

Shoal Creek is older folks and families.

Lavaca is a younger crowd.

Pregamed there before the opening game of the baseball series and it was a ghost town. Weather probably had something to do with it though. Their food was decent.

Shoal creek is great for saints games. They’ll always have an LSU crowd even if playing UT I would imagine it’d be majority LSU fans

Depends if you wanna be near Downtown. If you are just looking for great sports bars the mention of Lavaca Street Downtown has lots of LSU fans but there are 3 locations and the one at the Domain is the best in town to watch games. It will be slammed and you can party after with all the bars in walking distance. Higher end crowd usually than Downtown but of course will have most of the in town fans getting after it.

Rustic Tap is the best place to watch an LSU game.

Shoal Creek and Lavaca are small and packed, where Rustic Tap is an open, covered venue.

Rustic Tap women will also be half the age of those at the other two
