Does anyone think think this is the first/only case this woman has botched (using that kindly - how about malfeasance)? I'm sure there are 1,000 better qualified people that should have this position.

Charges were dropped because of who he was, not because the Chicago Police and a grand jury made 16 separate mistakes.

I could see an argument for a lightened sentence for Smollett (I wouldn't agree with it but I could see how someone would think it reasonable), but not charging for this...

It seems to me that even the “washed up actor” bit is part of the pre-planned ploy as well.
