You think you have a tough time digesting this?

Think of the players, especially the guys who are nice backups but likely won't have lengthy careers. This might have been it for them. All the hours they've put in since April. The coaches and support staff who spend 16+ hours at the facility for a majority of the year. To know you've done enough to make it to the Super Bowl and have it taken from you, not by a missed tackle by your teammate, but by an incompetent or biased referee.
I'll be over this by tomorrow, but, some of those guys will ruminate on this for a lifetime. I feel awful for them the more I think about it.

Here is the truth in this:
The players play. They had say in the outcome. They fought. I bet Drew is more concerned with the 1st and 10 to MT than the 3rd and 7 to TLL.
A fan has no power or ability to alter the outcome. They live through the actions of others. They are helpless hoping and wishing. A player is resilient and will work harder to be better. A fan can do nothing. Its a helpless stance
but to broadstroke either is wrong. Some players will brush it off, some players it will linger. Same goes for fans. I will be sick for weeks. I know people who are already over it

Yeah, I can't imagine being a guy near/at the end of his career and having that happen. Or a fringe player. Like imagine Griffin yesterday. You join the team. You contribute. This might be your only playoff run. And then that happens. Awful.

There are and have been ex players on TV and radio all morning talking about how fricked up the call was and how devastated the players and coaches must feel today and how this will sting for a long time.
