Morning:

- 10 sets of pull ups (8 reps each) every 5 minutes until completed.

After lunch:

- 10 sets of push ups (45 reps each) spaced 5 minutes apart until completed.

THEN

- 5 sets of diamond push ups (25 reps) every 5 minutes until completed.

After supper:

- 10 sets of sit ups (45 reps each) every 5 minutes until completed.

A co-worker says he does this at home one day every weekend. I think it's a little excessive FWIW.

Thoughts?

80 pullups and 450 pushups and situps is a shite ton of volume.

That's three hours of rest time while working out in one day...

Where are the squats? Where are the lunges? Where’s the legs?

well, not many can do 45 pushups or even 8 pull ups. but if you can, the rest is too long and doing all this is freaking long. I guess it depends on the person's goals. It's better than doing nothing but there are a lot better ways to work out at home

While I will guess he is in good shape, that is a awful workout plan for a normal working person.

So much wasted time.

My opinion, he needs a life.

Do 5 sets to failure of each exercise with one min. rest between sets. And cut out the situps entirely.

And as someone else said, where is the leg work? Lower body is where bodyweight exercises fall short, but it's not impossible.

he would be much better off using the frequency method daily instead.

If it were me, I'd break it down a little different, and add some leg workouts:

3 sets of wide pushups until failure.
3 sets of regular pushups until failure.
3 sets of elevated feet pushups until failure.
This would work different areas of the chest.

Id do the same with the pullups:

3 sets of chin ups until failure
3 sets of wide grip pullups until failure.
3 sets of regular pullups until failure.
This would work different areas of the back.

Crunches:
3 sets of bicycle crunches.
3 sets of leg lifts.
3 sets of elevated leg crunches.

Then throw in some legs:

3 sets of lunges.
3 sets of body weight squats.
3 sets of bench step ups.

Well rounded workout, but i wouldnt do it all in one day.
