1) gentry's coaching
2) rondo's veteran leadership
3) demps trade deadline moves (mirotic and okafor)
4) AD and jrue taking over
I say option 1 and will admit i have bashed gentry on this board many times, but something has kicked in the last month with this team and i have to give gentry his due credit. The players have a lot more energy and fight in them while buying into the gentry system. I will happily eat crow and hope this keeps up for this year and beyond. Geaux pels!
What say the rest of the pelican nation? Also, add to the list since im prolly forgetting another reason why we kicking arse lately.

I mean... Pels are 30-18 when Rondo plays so that kinda speaks for itself.

Other than AD being the superstar he is, Jrue Holiday is the biggest reason for what’s happening now.

It's a honor sons and something I don't take lightly.
In all seriousness it's Chris Finch's offense hitting it's stride. They know if a play breaks down they can
A) run a last second pnr with Holiday/Davis
B) get the ball to AD on the block and let him work
C) get the ball to holiday and let him drive and create
All of those are good to great options. They really don't make bad choices any more save for an errant pass every now and again.

I think without a doubt it's this.
1. AD stepping up like we know he can and should.
2. Jrue playing with a ton of confidence and helping close games for us, something he shied away from or just simply failed at early in the season.
3. The coaching has without a doubt been better, as evidence by the 3rd quarters being better.
4. Losing Cousins obviously sucked, but we picked up Mirotic, Emeka, and Diallo. All have been playing great roles while AD picks up the Cousins slack.
5. There is a different attitude on this team right now. They are expecting to win. they look focused all game. they all look like they really care. Jrue is playing with some swag. They just look determined to win every game, and that's not something we saw in the first 30 or so games of the season for the most part.

I’ll take some responsibility. I haven’t taken off my lucky Pelicans give away socks since before the all star break. It’s a little tricky in the shower but we’ll worth it.

I think having Rondo play PG and not Boogie has cut down our TO's and sped up our pace of play. I'm a Boogie fan but he had the ball in his hands too much. Seemed like Gentry was afraid to reign him in and now has had no choice. What we are seeing now is typical Gentry ball from his past stints.

I love Boogie’s game but if Jrue had been lost for the year instead of boogie I don’t think the pels are having nearly the same success as now.

The combo of AD/Jrue/Rondo and the schedule has been favorable (though that didn't mean anything in the past)

Not one good thing has been said about Gentry....doesn't he get at least a LITTLE credit?

holiday's improvement has been MASSIVE
the first 1/2 of the season he was solidly and sadly in the lower left quadrant of this graphic
