Recruiting will be the issue. It's very competitive out there and what D1 recruit is going to commit to CSU if they have other choices?

Anybody on this board with a teenage boy, ask them if they would play college ball for a woman (assume they are D1 baller material and that they have other options). Pretty sure you'll get a "nope" like I just did from one of my kids.

Men coach women's hoops all the time. It's not like Hammon doesn't know the sport.

omen are more mature than a group of 18 year old guys who have one thing on their mind 99% of the time.

That will be dependent on how attractive the lady is. If she's a banging hot 30 year old, it wont workout. But if she is like a 50 year old looking like the lunch lady at school, she won't have any problems at all being in the locker room.

Men have coached women's teams for decades. Most of these girls first coach was probably one of the team dads. It's really nothing new to them.

My kid is not a dumbass, actually pretty smart that if he has a choice it's just easier and better to stay away from the situation. Why deal with it if you don't have to?

What coach is CSU going to hire with "significant skins on the wall". CSU isn't able to hire someone who gains respect automaticaly.

Well, they were able to hire Larry Eustachy who had taken his 3 prior schools to the NCAAT. Before that, they hired Tim Miles (Nebraska's current HC), a guy who had success at two D-2 schools and lead NDSU to winning records in each of their first 3 years as a D-1 school. Both at least had some sort of record of success.

You seem to imply that players will respect a coach hired from the patriot leauge because he won the leauge once just because he is a male.

Not at all. But his resume would at least show he could win a college D-1 conference as opposed to her resume which consist of being the 7th assistant on the bench of an NBA franchise that had won 5 NBA titles and appeared in 6 NBA Finals BEFORE she arrived (0 since).

What on her resume can she point to to make a potential recruit believe she can get the job done? At least the other coach in your hypothetical could say he won a conference title.
