Someone posted that he might be on the way out. That would be great. Next would be Alleva.

It remains to be seen if it benefits LSU or not since JBE will be appointing the replacement.

I thought it was confirmed that it would, in fact, not be JBE making the call. I thought it was the board of trustees

His contract is through 2020. I really don’t get the hate for Alexander. The only time I’ve seen him seemingly meddle was during the 2015 fire Les/hire Jimbo fiasco when Alleva allow rumors and leaks to run amuck without comment. I could be wrong and welcome correction.
Alleva should have been fired then, as a major part of his job is spin control and damage control if that doesn’t work. That whole ordeal gave LSU a black eye that weakened the appeal to top coaches IMO. Alexander reacted to that plus probable pressure from the Governor, I think he had no choice. And I think Jimbo and his agent played us the whole time as leverage for a raise.

Who cares if Edwards makes the appointment? Did you like the job that Jindal did with this? Alexander was Jindal's man; he was Jindal's man and that is why Les was retained in 2015. By the way, I am a Republican.
