Is there a time of year you prefer to travel?

If you live in the south, are you getting out of dodge in the summer to escape the heat?

I know a lot of people in the Northeast flee to warmer climates in January and February.

Or do you just not care?

Mar-May or Sept-Nov, avoiding the crowds whenever possible.

I prefer to travel in the winter. A lot of my vacations are based on snow activities

Fall is nice too, great weather pretty much anywhere you go

When my wife was in litigation it was December just because.

Now she's transactional and it's whenever there is a sliver of opportunity.

I travel at all times of the year but prefer late spring and summer because that's the best time for mountain hiking, which is my favorite thing to do.

We always do our biggest trip around April. It’s our anniversary and we would rather travel than exchange gifts

Spring and fall. We try to travel when kids are in school.

We don’t have any and don’t want any fricking up our vacation.

It’s also cheaper at those times than the height of summer.

April/May = Good for overseas fares for me
Sept/Oct = Usually do FB trips and also decent fares for other things.

eta: plus it allows me to build up some PTO in the first part of the year too

April. Our anniversary is in April, it is easier to schedule time off from work during Easter week, the summer vacation crowds are not present and nice weather is easy to find. And I wont have to miss any football games.
