Trump said days ago he wasn't going to make it hurt for people like Obama did. Fannie Mae is still up. So they won't stop monitoring space or utilizing spy sats.
I am not sure if the AD military and retirees paychecks are still covered. If they don't get paid so some illegals can have a dream (which isn't due until March) before Americans; the democrats will cease to have any majority for a very long time.

Lots of asteroids out there traveling at warp 9. They can close the distance to earth in a matter of hours. Particularly if the Caliphate's Klingon allies redirect them with phaser blasts.

Yep. If a substantial asteroid was headed our way the best our government could do is let us know we were about to die
I think these morons watch a bunch of Hollywood and think it's real. I also think they see movies where asteroids are gently floating by and think they would be easy to hit
But an asteroid heading towards Earth would be closing at amazing speeds and nuclear missiles aren't designed to hit moving targets much less hit moving targets still out in space
