LSU played a ton of true freshman this year. How would you rank their impact for 2017?
1. Ed Ingram - He was basically a starter from Day 1. Shaky in the beginning but played like a veteran in the end.
2. Saahdiq Charles - See above. Played less than Ingram but at a more critical spot.
3. Grant Delpit - Starter from Day 1. Going to be the next great graduate of DBU.
4. T. Carter - Paved the way as a blocker, became an option as a receiver and a terror on special teams
5. Chaisson - Still learning the position but will benefit from all the snaps he got this year.

6. Myles Brennan - Divided the fanbase early on in the season. Has one of the tougher names to spell according to statistics pulled from TD.com postings.

I love this kids passion and energy. Loves being a Tiger and destroys people. I almost want to see them line him up as a fullback in I-form just to see him destroy people.

I believe Taylor is in the same spot as Chaisson. Still learning but gained a good bit of experience.

I would put Charles over Ingram, Charles at to play LT down the stretch which is a lot harder to play against SEC speed rushers.

Why is everyone forgetting Greedy?
Posted on 12/11/17 at 11:30 am to LSUfan389
Because he's not a true freshman.

Grant Delpit was just named Freshman All American

OP did say freshman, and Greedy is still a freshman. Should have stated true freshman then.

He did state true freshmen.

1. Sahdiq Charles- Had some growing pains but played like a champ at LT.
2. Grant Delpit- Goig to be a great one.
3. Ed Ingram- Stud gaurd.
4. Tyler Taylor- Played very well, looked like a young Kendell Beckwith.
5. K’Lavon Chaissson- He’s still learning the game but i wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the best from this class.
6. Tory Carter- Solid FB, going to be a good one.
7. Kary Vincent- Got lost in the shuffle due to the studs in front of him but showed great flashes early in the season.
8. Jacob phillips- He was all over the field, wish he could have played more.

I do it by groups:
1. OL - young guys stepped up and will only get stronger and better.
2. DB
3. LB/OLB
4. QB - TBD
5. DL - TBD

Tyler Taylor has a nice future IMO

Delpit will be a stud next year. We saw shades of that this season. Good in coverage, great in run support. He will be a Jamal Adams quality of player.
Chaisson is raw, but extremely talented. I think he will have shades of Mingo and Key but won't develop as fast.
I'm really excited about our defense in 2018. With Shelvin and Fehko alongside Lawrence and Alexander, these two freshman and White will make our D better day 1 vs this past season.
Charles and Ingram did well and even though we take a step back on RB quality the OL should be better and help close the gap.
Carter had good versatility as a blocker and receiver. Honestly I didn't notice him enough for a fair evaluation.
Rank?
1. Charles
2. Delpit
3. Ingram
4. Chaisson
5. Carter

Damn didn't realize Netherly and McMath played. Wouldn't want to see them lose a year like Chark and Gage.
