Staying for wife’s Xmas party and eating at Antoines. Going spend the day Saturday before dinner at 8. Anywhere close in walking distance to have some drinks and apps

Never mind. I confused your hotel with another.

Ok, well that's basically across the street from Antoine's, so the entire quarter is at your disposal. What are you looking for?

Make sure you take in the rooftop at the Omni Royal Orleans. There's a bar there and there's also a bar connected to the Royal Orleans on Royal Street called Touché.. But there's no food served.

For light fare and drinks I agree with Napoleon House, right across the street from the parking garage at the Royal Orleans, on Chartres.

additional options:

21st Amendment at La Louisiane

French 75 at Arnaud's

The rib room is inside the Omni and has a good bar.

Touche bar is a cool spot. Chart room is nearby for a dive. Bourbon house has an oyster happy hour.

You're gonna have fun.

Don't forget about the rooftop at the Royal Orleans.

The hotel is very haunted, btw.
