He’s going right at O talking about “broken campaign promises” sticking his hands in the offense. Says he neutered an Offensive Coordinator’s scheme resulting in 0 points. “The same mistakes he made at Ole Miss are being made here.” Thank you TBob for growing some nuts.

All of 104.5 has turned on O. (Except for Ott, he’s the only holdout)

It’s because they’re trying to save their last scraps of credibility

Yep. They will use the “broken promises” angle to try and repair their shredded credibility from pushing him in the first place.

To be fair, it wasn't insane to be optimistic after watching the interim results. This was not 100% assured failure. In hindsight, however, yeah...

So they think because Orgeron “pwomised” this excuses them from not being able to see this coming in the first place? As if someone can promise not to be incapable. Aren’t they supposed to be experts?

This new narrative of Orgeron “meddling” is just something news reporters are using to try to get themselves off the hook for predicting he’d do well. “Oh, yeah if only he let his staff handle everything like he was supposed to do, my prediction would have been correct”. Seems like he was letting them handle everything and that’s the problem. Without a single strong leader tying it all together, it doesn’t matter how good your coordinators are. The experiment failed.

eh not really. Hunt Palmer was the one on the radio when he and Jordy were begging for coach O to be hired

To be fair, yes it was. I can't remember how many times I typed out, "An interim coach is NOT the same thing as a full time coach. It's like saying Mr. Jones is a fantastic substitute teacher and THEREFORE he'll be an exceptional full time teacher." While "teaching" may be the common denominator, the jobs are wholly different, and any reasonable person should have admitted that.

No...his track record when RUNNING his own program spoke for itself, and only wishful thinking made people look past that.

I know nothing about head football coaches, yet I knew it was 100% assured failure. All of the national media knew it. All of the no nothings on this message board knew it. But the person paid 3/4 a mil to do this job didn't?

correct. If this new model worked, then every organization in America would already be doing it.

No, any organization needs a strong, respected leader at the top. Especially a football team.

This was a high risk hire and the inevitable disaster was very easy to predict. Still can't believe we tacked on a massive buyout. That's really the sickest part.
