I think it would have to be Quad Cities. He was already in the same league and considered young for it.

I'm really hoping they can get a deal done for Norris and get a top 100 guy and another mid level prospect or two

Doesn't help that Norris hasn't been in great form recently, but I think it's still very likely.

I'm also wondering if Boston is willing to pull any triggers for Bedard.

Where will he rank in the Astros system? Back end of the top 10?

Our top 8 are all in the top 100 prospects list, so as of now he's #9 in our system at best. (the list still includes Cosart, so take that into consideration)

Which really says more about our system than the player.

As far as position players go, he's at best our #5...could be our second best OF prospect, if he's listed higher than Domingo Santana.

Eh...just another marginal prospect. We only have one or two potential difference makers, our system will never break the top 20 at this rate.

No Manny Machado
No Bryce Harper
No Mike Trout

Houston will never get back to respectability with a farm with such mediocre prospects that would never make it in the bigs RIGHT NOW.

We don't have as much talent on the major league roster as Boston, therefore the farm system is automatically dropped 7 spots in the rankings and each prospect is similarly downgraded.

Speaking of marginal talent, George "Dinger" Springer hit another home run last night. That's 29 homers 33 steals and 80RBI. But he strikes out a lot. He'll never make it.

I'm being a lazy frick right now so I don't feel like searching for the video but he hit and inside the parker the other night. Line drive to center, CF dove for it and it got by. Long story short, Dinger can fly.

I don't exactly know how his power plays...he might go to all fields. I've seen him pull it to left, I've seen him go dead center and seen him hit absolute bombs to right. But his power with the Crawford Boxes could be fun.

Also a side note, I know you love to hate Chris Carter but we could have a monster if he puts it together at home.

.220 19HR 51RBI

Road .281 12 32RBI
Home .165 7 19RBI

If he duplicated his road stats at home we're talking .281 24HR 64RBI. Maybe he's trying to hard at home to pull to the boxes but when we got him, one of the Pros of Chris Carter was his pull power at 315' down the line

He indirectly murdered an innocent man in 2008. Lo was pitching for Taiwan in the Olympics with the game tied 3-3 in the 10th inning versus China. Lo got rocked and gave up the game. A 74 year old Taiwanese baseball fan that claims to have never missed a game on TV proceeded to have a heart attack while watching Lo blow the game.
