So, I've been thinking about this. This year is considered a slightly down year in the draft, but with regards to our needs, I'm not really sure that's the case.

I think we can all agree that we our needs go:

1. SF
2. Guards
3. Bigs

Well, the draft is actually shaping up to have a decent amount of solid SFs and guards. If we stay in the top 6 or 7, we should get a fairly solid player with decent upside that fits a position of need.

there are like 4 or 5 teams with 20 wins right now. it's going to be a fight to suck.

As of now I want Otto Porter, he's a player i see stepping in to the rotation immediately.

Also there are a few combo guards at the top of the draft I see being really good players. As of now, I would rather not go that route because I still have faith in my boy Rivers.

agreed. i think you stay away from SG and PF in this draft. take best available SF or C first round, then maybe find a legit backup PG later. i'm assuming they have a first and second round this year.

NBA is all about talent accumulation and finding "the guy". I think we take whomever we think is the best player, except for a PF. I don't think there are any players outside of Davis (and the fact that we have Anderson, Smith ,etc) that would stop us from picking a position.

I don't think there's a C worth taking that high this year, which was kind of my point.

If they both were there, I'd have a really hard time taking Len over Oladipo.

Right now, I'm kind of thinking I'd order them:

McLemore
Porter
Muhammed
Oladipo
Smart
Zeller
Len
Noel
Burke

*for our needs, of course.

It has Noel consistently in the top 2. That would scare the hell out of me. His injury gave me an instant flashback to Shaun Livingston.

They probably haven't updated the lottery scenarios yet to account for his injury.

We probably won't see a lot of change on that front until March Madness goes into full swing.

It's Charlotte(13) and Orlando(16) at the bottom, and they're likely staying there.

Then Washington, who is 7-3 over their last 10 games(18).

Then 5 teams tied with the 4th worst record at (20) wins:

New Orleans
Cleveland
Minnesota
Phoenix
Sacramento

Well I just saw McCollum is outside the lottery on some projections. It would be nice to get someone like Porter with our first pick and somehow get back in to grab McCollum.
