Not a fan of buffets but we are going with a large group that wants to try.

What are the most edible items?

Can't wait to see the masses stuffing their faces.

Prepare for the masses -- it is literally like a stampede headed for the trough. The food quality really isn't that great IMO, but I've always enjoyed it. It's a long, hard ride back to BR once I've gorged myself at that place.

I'm hoping since we are going early and it's a Saturday in lent that it won't be too bad.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Just pulled up and there are dozens of Honey Boo Boo's.

Sitting in the car with the kids as the wait appears to be quite a long time.

It was about what I expected. The food quality sucked. The boiled and fried shrimp were a nice size and were good so I ate a couple plates of those.

I won't be back. Not my type of crowd.

Haha yeah I hear ya. I will be going to Whites Seafood Buffet in Livonia sometime soon. I'll let everyone know how it compares to HOS.

Where in the hell is "Bush?" Lived in La. a long time, never heard of it.

I honestly thought when I saw the thread that the Papadeaux's in Bush International Airport had been taken over by another seafood joint...

Wow.I had no idea that place was still open. I remember starving myself all day to make that drive with a bunch of co-workers. It was what we all craved back in the day before I learned to give a damn about food quality. Good memories, great food comas, but I would NEVER set foot in the food dump again.

have not been there in years !! ther first few times I went the food was really good. The last few times, it had dropped off. keep an eye on the soft shell crab tray, you have to get those as soon as they hit the tray or they will be gone.

The only time I've been to House of Seafood I thought it was awful.

I found it interesting that there were vultures who would run up as soon as a new tray was put out.

The food quality was awful. The vultures were out in full force.

At least I'll never have to go there again since everyone saw the light.

$60 I'll never get back.

My parents live near by and we grab food to go from there on a rare occasion as it is much cheaper than eating there.
