Haha yeah I hear ya. I will be going to Whites Seafood Buffet in Livonia sometime soon. I'll let everyone know how it compares to HOS.

I personally didn't care for Dazed & Confused, but maybe it's because I've never smoked weed.

I watched it yesterday. The story is set in Pittsburgh and that's where I'm from. I didn't care for it because I didn't feel that it captured the essence (accents, etc.) of Pittsburgh at all. But since you're not from there, you'll probably like it.

Is Tony the young guy who speaks English well? If so, he was very friendly, feeding his goldfish and talking to my daughter. Seemed like a cool dude
I ordered the 25 and a pork/rice dish, I think it was 53? I personally don't care for the tripe, but otherwise the pho was good, some of the best I've had. The pork dish was great, except they gave me the wrong one. It was missing the shredded pork and fried egg. It was still good though.
Also wish they had banh mi, but Dang always come through in that regard.
Will return for another visit soon.......

Report back. I'm interested to see what you thought about it.

I really like the place. The compressed watermelon salad and "Yorkie" dessert are both legit.

Prepare for the masses -- it is literally like a stampede headed for the trough. The food quality really isn't that great IMO, but I've always enjoyed it. It's a long, hard ride back to BR once I've gorged myself at that place.

Back in the 90s the place was awesome... had some of the best bartenders... Gerard, Scott, and Chad come to mind. But since it burned down and the grandson took over, it's gone downhill. I still like it, but it's not as good as it was.

I'll try the 25... was also thinking of maybe the 83? Any other menu numbers you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
re: Beasts of the Southern Wild/Perks of Being a Wallflower/Moonrise Kingdom

I've seen all four now. I'd rank 'em like this:
1 -- Beasts of the Southern Wild (loved it)
2 -- Silver Linings Playbook
3 -- Perks of Being a Wallflower (I grew up in Pittsburgh, and the accents and actions of these students is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay off.)
4 -- Moonrise Kingdom (didn't care for this one at all... just thought it was really weird and fantastical... definitely didn't care for the directorial style.)

If they truly are serving basa, I will NEVER, EVER go there. There is absolutely no excuse for a Louisiana restaurant to be serving basa. That shite is disgusting

Come on man, get real. That's like saying Pizza Hut defines pizza. Popeye's is good for what it is, but if that's truly the best you've ever eaten, you really need to get out more.

I don't know why people are ridiculing me for saying which movies I don't like... isn't that the entire point of the thread? To name movies that everyone else likes that I don't like? Of course you're going to disagree. You're supposed to.

Now, back to the topic at hand -- I wonder if Christian can cook fried chicken? You don't get an arse like that eating bunny food.

Exactly. If they don't want guys gawking, then don't post pics like that on the Internet. I mean she's got like. 38dd's. you don't get something that drastic unless you want attention. If anything, I think she'd be happy that men think she looks great and want to use her pics. Attention is obviously what she wants... Can't have it both ways.
As a matter if fact, there's a girl I used to date from lp named Kelli and I've seen other posters use her pic as their avi. Think she cares? Fuuuuuck no. That's exactly why she posed for the pics to begin with, to get attention and have guys tell her how hot she is.

So let me get this straight... the girl poses for pics like that, for a calendar or modeling shoot or whatever, and doesn't want men to look at them? Come on. Girls like that are a dime a dozen -- they act like they don't want the attention, but that's the entire reason why they do the things they do to begin with (get boob jobs, post revealing pics, etc.)

The pics are from a shoot in New Orleans for NOLA Gear.

Don't really care. She took the pics for a calendar or something, so I'm assuming she wants attention.

I used to actually like that shite when I was a kid. I don't know what the hell was wrong with me.
Nowadays all I will eat is Hellman's mayo. It's probably my favorite condiment.

My wife has worked with Will Ferell on a few movies and says he's a really cool, funny, nice guy in person. I just don't care for his movies, that's all.

I don't care for Knocked Up, either.
As far as comedies, I just don't care for movies that intentionally try to get me to laugh. Usually it takes a clever story for me to enjoy it. The times I laugh most are movies that aren't comedies, but that have clever one-liners. I laughed during Django Unchained a few times, and that certainly isn't a comedy.

OP, what sort of comedies do you like?
I don't care much for comedies, to be honest.
I do like Dumb and Dumber, There's Something About Mary, Summer School, Meet the Parents, Borat, The Hangover, Friday... to name a few
Can't stand the LOTR trilogy, either, or that Harry Potter crap.

Come to think of it, I really don't like any superhero movies, either. I liked The Avengers OK though.

The problem with Bruno is that the first few segments are so extreme that many people can't stomach it and turn it off. The second half of the movie is brilliant. Just to see the looks on those rednecks' faces after the cage fight is priceless
