A local CBS radio station in Boston put on a "Scallange", which was a chance for a few local players to take Scalabrine on one-on-one.
Scal played at a quarter of what his full speed would be, and he was still able to soundly beat everybody that came his way, including the threesome of Fred Toucher, Rich Shertenlieb and Jon Wallach, the radio guys hosting the event.
Scal beat them 11-1.
You can check out the full 30-minute video of Scal annihilating a bunch of middle-aged New Englanders on their website. If something like that entices you, which it very well should.

I watched the actual challenge, which is was him take on 4 good local players 1 v 1 all in a row. The thing that you come away with is respect for just how big NBA players are. All 4 guys he played were over 6 foot and are probably some of the tallest guys in a pickup game, but Scal is just a monster right next to them

that would mean he was not moving and/or was literally asleep.
But Scal is one of my all-time favorite basketball players so I like this

Well duh. Even the worst players riding the pine in the association right now would still SMOKE even good pick-up game players.
