Saw this posted on microskiff. Sounds too good to be true. What are the chances this not a scam?

That is too cheap IMO.

A poster ordered one with PayPal in case he has to dispute the charges. That's about all.

All you have to do is google the website

It’s most likely a scam on this item.

I’ve bought things from AliExpress on their Amazon storefront. Totally satisfied with a couple of Nitro RC engines. Prices were great!

If you have an AMEX use it. They are very good about disputes.

Alixepress is just a marketplace, tons of legitimate stuff and lots of fake stuff. Research the actual seller... but most likely anything name brand is not legit on aliexpress.

It’s the older model. I bought a hds 7 off Walmart website for $525 last year.

AliExpress often has legit deals on real products.

A couple of things I look for before spending money on there:
- store name: if it's just "Shop1234567" etc... then they never even bothered to change the auto generated name. This usually is a eyebrow raiser.

- how many followers do they have? If they're legit, they'll have a bunch.

- what other products do they sell? Is it a fishing/outdoor vendor or just a random assortment of crap?

Taking all that into account on this deal, I'd pass.
