Herb is arguably our very best player tbh. He’s obviously elite defensively. He’s a leader. And lately he’s been an absolute, undeniable plus on offense.

All on one play, Herb Jones defended and stopped Sacramento's top 3 players, inside and on the perimeter. On one play.

Herb and Trey are both great players. NBA champions seem to be built around elite superstars.

Herb was absolutely incredible last night. Jrue is my favorite player of all time and as great as Jrue was defensively, I don't think his defensive game was ever as good as Herbs is right now. He is just relentless. You can not take a second off on Herb or he will make you pay. Even if it's just a deflected pass that doesn't even result in a turnover, he's disrupting your flow. God I love it.

I may be wrong but give me peak Jrue on ball at least right now. Herb I think I'd take off ball but overall I still think Herb is not quite to peak Jrue. But obviously we haven't seen peak Herb yet either.

On ball vs on ball, yea give me Jrue. Jrue was as good as it gets. Overall defensively, I think Herb effects the game a little more though.

Jrue gave us a lot on both ends of the court.

Such an incredible player defensively my goodness. And his offense is showing some serious power now.

let's not get too crazy.
Herb is awesome, and should be a first team all defensive player.
Jrue is the best on ball defender in the league and has been for some time. Jrue is under rated in how strong he is. We've seen him guard many of PFs on switches and more than hold his own when trying to get back downed.
Where Herb has Jrue beat is his closeout speed and length to block 3 point shots. I also think Herb is slightly better off the ball than Jrue.
Jrue's combination of lateral quickness, iq, and strength to not let guys get by him are unlike just about anyone in the league, and is why he's the best on ball defender in the league pound for pound. Dyson has the ability to be that same type of defender b/c of his size.
If Jrue is a 9 out of 10 defender, then Herb is 8.9 for me.

I agree with all of this.

I mean we're not far off in our rating I'd have Jrue at probably a 9.3 and Herb a 9.5. Either way, whether he's a little under, on par, or better, he's elite and I'm glad we have him. His contract looks better by the game as well. I just hop it doesn't take as long for him to get some defensive accolades as it did Jrue.

So is Herb if you have been watching this season. Especially lately. Baw is becoming a 2 Way Player/Stud.
