Bobby J tried and all the cucks in LA balked at it. Both sides of the aisle shot him down for trying something different

We were ranked 32 in 2014, but fell into the 40s when JBE was elected

We have been in desparate need to write a new state constitution for 20 years. Too many protected state agencies. Not enough freedom for municipalities to determine their development

High sales tax
Not low property tax
No convergence with federal income tax returns for state tax purposes
Not low income tax

Tough scene

There were a few bills introduced in this year's session that proposed calling a constitutional convention for the purpose of framing a new constitution.

Unsurprisingly, none of them even made it to the first committee hearings.

We do need tax reform. Trouble is they only want to increase taxes and tax what little is left that isn’t taxed or taxed at a lower rate and call it reform.

Trouble is, all the taxpayers are leaving the state and not being replaced.

Texas has no state income tax, so how are they not tied for 1st with other no income tax states in that column?

I looked a the methodology quickly and I believe its because they don't acknowledge LLC's and S Corps and have a franchise tax.
