Watched it on HBO Max last night, and I was kind of disappointed with the ending.
First 2/3rds of the movie were fantastic - absolutely loved the music, Pattinson's Batman portrayal, the Riddler, the Penguin, Catwoman, even the political plot wasn't "overdone". LOVED the new Batmobile.
But the last 3rd of the movie just were a total letdown for me.
Very much had "V for Vendetta" vibes in the reverse for all of the "Riddlers". The flooding thing just didn't do it for me - seemed like a very weak "endgame" plot by the Villain.
Also the Falcone plot really didn't add much at all to this, at least to me.
I'm curious where they go with this Pattinson Batman, because he plays a GREAT Batman.
Liked this version much more than the Ben Affleck versions for sure, but ending, while it didn't "ruin" the movie for me, just was meh...

I think everyone, even people that liked it, agree that the third act is very weak. It's far too long of a film. I enjoyed it overall, but hopefully the sequel will be 30 mins shorter.

It was subtle, but I really liked the “thump” that would happen with every step he took when his boot touched the floor. Ominous

Ben Affleck versions
Don't get me wrong Nolanverse was better than Snyder verse.

Afleck was the Batman you needed for a team-up movie. Pattinson & Bale are strictly solo Batmen.
Solo batman is the trauma ridden kid working out anger issues we know & love. That’s Bale/Pattinson
In the comics & animated stuff, Justice League Batman has a bit of a dry wit/comedy thing with the other heroes. I think Affleck captured that better than Pattinson & Bale could have done.

I liked it when he was walking towards the Penguin after the car chase. The music was like a modern day western and his steps sounded as if he was wearing spurs on his boots.

Yeah, it was a weak endgame. However, I think the actors did an amazing job with all the main characters.

I found it to be overall a disappointing movie, and the pacing was terrible.

Does the truth hurt?
as i ask the nolan movies are superior... but as the character, Bale, really was lackluster, years later.

Poorly directed and written movie.
So much potential though.

Yeah, it's a movie that could use some editing.

"Why did you say that name?!" ruins anything Batfleck could have been

Where's that one guy that thinks this is the Citizen Kane of superhero movies

I agree that it was too long, but I thought the ending was pretty cool.
Best explanation for how one of Batman’s villains has a squad of goons. Even everyone’s favorite Dark Knight just glossed over with “they’re all schizophrenic.”
Hopefully the sequel has the voiceover throughout. That was also a great element of this one. They just forgot to keep using it after the first 10 minutes.

I would have liked to see Josh Brolin play a Dark Knight Returns Batman. He was almost cast in BvS. I’m fine they went with Affleck for that movie, but Brolin as an old, seasoned Batman would be cool.

It seemed like they didn't have full faith in developing this into a series so they just crammed everything into one movie which made it feel too long, convoluted and over produced. I didn't really like the acting in Nolan's movies (apart from Heath Ledger) but they were very well scripted and perfectly paced and shot.

Pacing was off, but I wasn’t disappointed. I loved the development of penguin and riddler was really well done, imo. These are two characters I want to see more of.
I wanted to see more cat woman development and Batman had some really cheesy lines throughout. I almost wish he would have been even more brooding with less talk.

The Rorschach's Journal voice-over? I thought it was an Ashlee Simpson moment where they played the wrong "backing track" to the movie.
I had no interest in seeing this, then a day or two before release, was bored and watched the trailer. Shockingly, it looked incredible, so got some friends together and watched it opening night. I will say this, and it's something I don't say often, but the popcorn was incredible. Luckily, I had literally all night to eat it.
