I think making the first targeting 1 quarter. The second how for the rest of the game unless it occurs in the 4th quarter. Then it’s out the next 1st half.

They definitely need to revisit ejecting a player for targeting. That is way too harsh of a consequence for a kid that may be playing his last college game, like when they ejected the MLB for Clemson in the 2019 NC game. Most instances of targeting are inadvertent. Make it a 15 yard penalty and automatic first down, and only eject repeat offenders.

Id like to see touchbacks come back to the 20, but maybe allow fair catches inside it to come to the 20.

Instant replay is a big one. It was so frustrating watching games where there was a blatantly wrong call knowing that there was zero ability for it to be overturned. Now, they've gone too far with it, but it's still an improvement over what the status quo was before replay.

They also made some changes to the clock running which was meant to shorten the game (offenses adjusted to minimize it). I think they should have gone farther, so I think the status quo is better than it was 20 years ago. They also eliminated the tv timeout where they would TD, timeout, EP, timeout, kickoff, timeout. Now, they do no more than one tv timeout in that sequence.

I like having a playoff. I don't think the current playoff system is optimal, but it is definitely an improvement over what we had before.

I liked the addition to 12 games, though I would not hate going back to 11 IF they eliminated games between FBS and FCS AND we got an expanded playoff system in exchange. Otherwise, I like there being 12 regular season games.

I like CFB adopting similar rules to the NFL regarding fair catch/fair catch interference (as opposed to the dumb HALO rule), pushouts, and intentional grounding.
