Prosecution: "Objection. Speculation."

Gray: "He's the expert, Judge."

Chu: "Objection overruled"

The witness was antagonistic towards the defense right from the start, so I’m not sure why Earl Gray is being so belligerent with him. It makes his responses just look like frustration rather than deliberately hostile to protect the side paying his fees.

I understand why these witnesses can be brought and why they are but it's ridiculous. It's purely emotive and should have no effect on a question of guilt.

It's rich. The entire prosecution argument has been cumulative.

I hate this lawyer's hair. Why is only a portion of it crunchy looking? It's horrible.

the prosecution hasn't rested yet... so they can still call more witnesses tomorrow... but apparently they do feel they will rest their case in chief at some point tomorrow

I'll be in meetings most of the day as well so won't be able to pay a lot of attention but I'm watching the early morning motions and Jesus the ADA Frank likes to hear himself talk.

I'm glad the Judge ruled against the State's objections to allowing the defense's expert witness to talk about using deadly force and allowing the police chief to talk about police procedures and Potter's compliance with them.
