Scott Woodward is the real deal.

you got it right this time

And yes it’s arguable with the captains we have in charge

ETA: how well he handles the NCAA issues and inquiries will stamp it. That’s a tough one and some of which won’t be in his control.

I think Brian Keith was the best d(AD) ever on Family Affair.

You damn right he is. Dude just completely punked the entire media, ND, and a good portion of our own fan base. Ridiculous how well this was executed & kept under wraps.

“Woodward sucks”
“Woodward got played”
“Woodward doesn’t know what he’s doing”

I’ve noticed a significant drop in the above idiotic statements today. Weird.

It took me a few hours and memories of that bristled MF standing there coaching his arse off against us in those 2 bowl games until the very end to accept it, but here I am tipping my cap to Scottie and excited to see some coaching intelligence at the helm for once. If that dude is as hungry as he looks for a Natty, he has come to the right place.

It doesn’t matter what ones opinion of Kelly is, the process was legit airtight and sharp.
Kudos.

Btw, anyone that has issues with hiring Kelly is a stupid POS. Dude is a beast.

He gave Jumbo a boat load of money at A&M so I'm going to have to give that a big negative....

I was WTF at first mention because I didn’t even think he was in play.
Then I was like okay let’s look into this further (because I’m not a big stat nerd).
Then I realized this is the highest profile HC hire in LSU history and overall a great thing for the program.
It’s gonna be something great to watch unfold.

He don't mind hiring 60 year old people for sure. Both are a year younger than me so not over the hill yet but definitely on the backside of their careers....

They aren't retiring and drawing SS at 62, and probably not 67 for that matter. If we get 10 productive years out of them that's a win.

IMO, he’s hit a home run with every hire. Not only that, but he’s kept us guessing and is a master of optics and negotiating. Would love to have a bourbon with ole SW.
