Should be tier 1 given his record. Doesn't feel like it though. He isn't a flashy young offensive mind. Doesn't mean he isn't a great hire. Time will tell.

Kelly probably looked at our division and deduced Saban had only a few more years left and Jimbo would be at A&M until he is pulled out feet first. Two big plusses for taking the job.

I believe he’s currently ranked as 12th best coach in the country. What tier would you put 11-15 in? I guess Tier 3, right?
