Woody's head is so far up his own arse he really thinks hiring over the hill retread coaches is something to hang his hat on. And, sadly, a lot of LSU fans think Woody is something special. If he hires Brian Kelly it lets me know Woody is special alright...special ed

*Woody is a great fundraiser & a fairly shallow strategist.
ETA while not perfect, he is a top tier AD. He cares first and foremost about the perception of his hires, and for CFB/recruiting it’s hard to knock that approach.

The adoration for Woody is quite perplexing. His last football coaching hire was pulling a mediocre coach out of his own dumpster fire and giving him an insane contract. Why anyone expects him to nail it here is insane.
