Not the best option but not the worst. Worry about recruiting against Saban Jimbo and now Napier in LA.

A lot of people don't know that his off the field issues at UT were similar to Orgeron's here. They just did a better job of keeping it quiet.

Aranda would get out recruited at every turn.

You can forget about poaching out of state.

Aranda is great at Baylor because recruiting is not as important. In the SEC west you have to get top 5 classes every year if you want to compete for championships.

What program recruits itself better, LSU or Baylor?

it doesnt matter because it will be him who will be counted on to close the deal. He isnt that guy. Saban is a closer. Dabo is a closer. Jimbo is a closer. That kind of coach is required in the SEC West.

What a retarded take. Prove he can't close then

Yes the pinnacle of SEC West results is Jimbo, followed closely by Dabo

And don't forget the guy we just had. Known as one of the best closers ever in recruiting circles.

Well we've had two retards, one of whom could barely speak coherently and the other who could not speak coherently, and they both won in the SEC West as well as NCs. I'll take my chances with Aranda.

Dennis Allen is a pretty good defensive mind but I'd rather him stay in New Orleans. Not sure he's done much on the college level.

If after all this they hire Dave Aranda and he keeps Daronte Jones as his DC, I'll be at a loss for words.

In a good way or a bad way?

I'd be cautiously optimistic about Aranda. I worry about his ability to recruit, but there is no doubt he is very intelligent and dilligent.

Well,. THAT would be a welcome change after the two knuckleheads we've had since Lil Nicky ditched us...
