Still playing this upcoming weekend. No real panic coming from the LSU side of things, at least from the administration or the football program in general. Only verbal "commitments" between CDA and Baylor in the last couple of weeks.
Probably wrong but why not be optimistic until there's a reason not to be.

This contradicts Justin Vincent saying the announcement will be Tuesday or Wednesday. If the announcement was dependent on a coach in the conference championship but not playoffs that announcement would probably be this upcoming Sunday or Monday.

Any statement from someone under a NDA is infinitely more credible than any other comment (media, agent, post, etc.)

If it was aranda locked in you would have at least a few legit sites reporting smoke
