I’m in sales and during football season I take my best customers to what is generally their alma maters football games. I’ve hauled a Texas alum to Fayetteville that ended badly for him. I met a Texas A&M grad in Dallas for a game against Arkansas and it ended badly for him. Took my best Louisiana customer to watch the Razorback LSU game and he nor I left happy. Took a Bama alum to watch his team play Arkansas this past weekend in Tuscaloosa and albeit his team won the game he wasn’t happy either. Prior to this season I didn’t know much about Sam Pittman other than he is considered a top tier OL coach. It appears to me Pittman can take lesser talent and coach them up. Not necessarily saying LSU should hire Sam Pittman but I’m very impressed with how hard and smart his team plays. The man makes 3 million dollars.

Pitman is very similar to O (though a better HC I think) in that he is coordinator dependent. That’s great in his current situation because he has really good coordinators. But he could be in big trouble if they leave and their replacements don’t pan out. I don’t think Woodward is interested in another CEO type.

That’s what I thought. People better put some respect behind that man’s name and staff. That fricker can coach or a bunch of people on his staff can.

Pittman is kicking arse in Arkansas. He'll be happy there for a few years. His teams are very impressive.

You don’t have to be a dick about it. I’ve been to four of their games and the Razorbacks are well coached. I’ve been going to LSU games since around the mid 70’s and typically our teams are not well coached. I’m not saying LSU needs to hire the man but some of these other openings ought to give the guy a look.

O's problem isn't that he is coordinator dependent. It's that he doesn't know how to hire good coordinators. Since Pittman hired his coordinators he has now I'm betting he can hire others when he needs too. Plus, Pittman is extremely respected in the coaching ranks and circles and good assistants want to work with him.

Okay buddy who do you want? Who is a home run hire? Maybe Aranda. Maybe. Napier? The Cincinnati coach? That prick from OU? I don’t see a damn coach on any of these so called list that is a slam dunk hire. Not a single coach you morons keep listing day after day are going to deliver us to the promise land.

I believe this to be true. That program was in absolute shambles when he took over. Someone up the hill knows what the hell they are doing.

Aranda and Riley. Pittman would be 73rd on that list. Pittman will not leave Arky and we don't want him. Try watching some football every now and then.
