That’s a lot to think about. Imagine the pressure cooker that kind of money involves.

He won’t say no either. No one with a functioning brain will decline being the highest paid coach in cfb. Title IX, whatever, LSU is a job that will attract top notch coaches and recruits. I have no worries whatsoever.

OU fans are toward the end of a 1 loss season but still would rather spend time trying to troll LSU fans than discussing the season with their own. I think it's because they know how it ends.

So if this is true, won't OU just counter at about the same salary?

I can't support that kind of $ for anyone not named Saban.

I think he verbally agreed to it contingent on staff and facility requests which we haven't finalized.

Could fall through because of the latter delaying everything and giving OU time to circle the wagons.

So he's just waiting to find out if they're still in the playoff hunt after Bedlam to sign an extension...?

That’s a lot of damn cheese. I also imagine SW has made Riley’s support staff budget also known to him.

It’s a hard damn task to pull a great coach from any school, let alone a blue blood; but if Riley stays at OU, no one can say Woodward didn’t throw everything at him.

I seriously doubt that SW is still sitting and waiting on LR to accept or decline his offer. He has either accepted or declined by this point. SW doesn't appear to me to be the kind of guy sitting in his office waiting for the phone to ring.
