That means the Hulu + Live TV Ad-Supported plan will now be $69.99 per month instead of $64.99 per month, while the Hulu + Live TV No Ads plan will now be $75.99 per month, instead of $70.99 per month.

$5 increase to add on two more major streaming services may be viewed a bit differently. By itself, a Disney+ subscription would have otherwise cost either $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. Meanwhile, ESPN+ is priced at either $6.99 per month, or $69.99 per year. If you subscribed to at least one of those separately from your Hulu + Live TV plan, you’ll be saving money.

Guess they finally solved slowing Disney+ subscribers

Only a matter of time before people swap back to "regular tv packages".

Yeah this cut the chord thing sure didnt last long did it
I pay for philo, netflix, amazon prime and watch sporting events on the internet. Saves me a ton of money and no one in my household watches sports other than me so my bill is still pretty cheap.

The programmers (the ones that own the channels) are the true enemy here. It was never the cable providers. These streaming companies were eventually going to have to face the ever rising costs the programmers constantly impose. It was only a matter of time.

I’m about to do that too but still like YTTV. If I get tired of it though, I’ll just watch live tv with an ota antenna and stick to espn+ and call it a day.
Not getting 65$ worth of tv per month

I often go back and compare the prices for cable v what I pay for through streaming. It would actually be close enough to consider if I didn't have to downgrade my internet speed because they discontinued my download/upload package

Yeah Philo has three streams, Netflix 3 streams and amzn 3 streams. I use streameast on the internet and can watch any sporting event for free. I have a 60 inch tv in the back room hooked up to interne . I get my internet for 50 bucks a month. So about 100 @ month total to stream / game is not to bad for a family.

I still rather the freedom streaming services give me.
For example, I don't keep my service year round. I just subscribe during football season then cancel after the season is over. Can't do that with cable. I've learned I don't really need live TV at all outside of sports.

I'll have to see how this plays out for me. I do have a Disney + subscription, but I pay annually to save a few dollars. Not sure how Hulu will calculate that or if they will just give me the monthly fee discount.

We do something similar, use Youtube TV during football season and when it's over switch to Philo for 20 bucks just to have something to put on.

Agreed. I cut out all live tv after football last year and didn’t miss it one bit

This will only encourage people to go back to illegal downloads, or at least it should.
It's unreal how cable companies expect people to pay to be bombarded with commercials on just about every channel...and people pay it. The viewer should be the one getting paid to sit through them.

Once basketball is over there's definitely not $65.00 worth.

So I talked to Hulu today, and they want me to cancel my separate subscription to Disney+, then add their version of it the day the new price increase starts, and they are supposed to start crediting then. Sounds weird to me.

Indeed, once LSU baseball ends I cancel live tv until the fall when football starts.

Not happy about this. No use at all for disney plus.
The whole point of streaming was to get only what you want, nothing you don't want.
I may have to switch over to youtube.
