According to what I was told at lunch. Take it FWIW. And if offered, Napier would take it at a discount. Wants it bad (old news)

Did the person at lunch tell you what's up with Riley?

Whoever told you that may have just been watching Moscona last night. He said the same thing.

Are there any names besides Riley in front of Napier?

That's weird, I was told the exact opposite during my lunch today. Aranda would be offered before Napier.

I’ve tapered off. Got the tidbit earlier. Thought I’d pass it along

I’d come around on Napier eventually but it would seem like a very meh hire

While Napier would definitely be an upgrade, I would rather have Aranda just based on his familiarity with the program and being a successful coordinator over a long period of time. Orgeron should have never gotten the job and if you were going to promote from within anyway then it should have been Aranda.

I don't dislike Napier and have even touted him as a legitimate candidate, but if Aranda wants the job I'm taking him and not looking back.
