I'm back and forth on it. Canceled Italy two years ago, and I really want to book this. But damn, who knows what is gonna happen. New covid spike in Germany and France, or so I read.

I’m in Germany right now, it’s fine as long as you have your vax card. Which is almost required to travel internationally anyways. Oh and it kinda sucks that you have to wear an actual N95 mask when on public transport and before you’re seated in a restaurant.

2 years in and places still do this.. only to whip that mask off as soon as you sit down .

Just go during the tourist season from May to September and it will probably be fine.

Go, forget about covid. Douse yourself in vitamin c and zinc. I had the covid twice, not getting that pharmacies are all
Over the counter, no rx needed there. Life is short enough as it is go live and stop worrying about the flu aka covid

I don't think OP is worried about catching it, he's worried about restrictions. Hence, he should go during tourist season because they will be open for the money like they were this past summer.

I will be on the 1st plane I can get as soon as I don't have to wear a mask on the plane.

The Scandinavian airlines no longer require masks, but only on flights in Scandinavia.

It’s progress though

I know I said this before and it could be airline specific, but mask enforcement on Turkish Air business class was non-existent.

Qatar Q Suites only enforces when leaving your seat per my neighbor.

So if you can swing business cash or points I would test them once meal service starts.

My Iberia flight I didn’t wear a mask from take off until landing. A lot of other people didn’t as well. No one said anything, especially while people were sleeping. Completely anecdotal but I was relieved by it because that’s a long time to wear one.

Damn I hope all Iberia flights are like that. I’m flying back to the US in a few hours on Iberia.

Went to France last month. No problems and had a great time. I actually loved the fact that it was the off season and there weren’t as many people traveling because it made getting places super easy.

We may do Rome, Switzerland or Portugal in 2022. We may stay in the States though if it’s super packed with tourist until people have finally scratched their travel itch.

Looking to go during the FIFA World Cup (it's in November/December this time).

Probably will be spent mostly in Belgium.

We're booked for a Viking Danube River cruise in August. It has already been postponed twice so we're hoping we'll make it this time.

My wife and I booked flights to Paris last night to visit Dec 29 - Jan 5. A vaccine certificate/health pass (or Negative PCR/antigen Test within 24 hours) is required to visit most, if not all, museums, etc in France.

Reading online, it seems we apply now for the vaccine certificates at pharmacies in France. Can anyone confirm this is the case? We visited France back in September and applied for the passes on a French gov't website.

This new process does sound a bit easier, as the online application in Sept took 2-3 weeks to get approved. We did not receive the passes until the last few days of the trip, and ended up presenting our CDC vaccine cards, which were widely accepted. I felt it was pretty laid back anywhere we visited.
