He brought in Kim Mulkey which nobody and I mean nobody thought it was possible. He played everybody right to the end for Jay Johnson, and when it was all said and done he was actually the best coach out there. come on people there’s no way he’s bringing in a second tier coach. He loves LSU just as much as we do, and has the money and resources available To bring in the best of the best coaches in football. Woodward is no Joe Alleva A lot of fans forget that

Jay Johnson was his third choice.
TL just said that with what he's hearing about the hire, we would have been better off just giving Ed O another year. That doesn't sound like a positive quote to me.

Football is different than the other sports you mention, in my view. Much greater degree of competition. Much harder to poach a major coach unless you are lucky. Much easier to tumble into an unplanned backup hire. Hope we get a smart, talented coach.

I've been saying this for a while. So many on this board have developed this mentality that LSU can't possibly act like a big shot and that settling for a Sunbelt coach should be our first stop as it is always our final destination.
Let Woodward work and stop being defeatist. If we don't get Riley, it should be because he hem and hawed and Woody wasn't going to wait around. We have the ability to get who we want and should act like it. You stutter and it's your loss
(But for the record I really like Aranda and would not consider that settling, just personally would be excited)

Well TL is trolling or is getting fed mis information, because You don’t make a move like that in season so early if you didn’t already have your guy ,because if O would’ve turned it around went undefeated and beat Alabama A lot of people would be on the keep O train.

There is zero chance Woodward had somebody before he fired O. You are acting like Woodward is some god who everybody kneels to.

Woodard screwed up the firing of O. If you’re gonna fire the coach, FIRE the coach. He don’t get to coach anymore. A great AD would fire the coach Sunday morning after the last game and announce new coach Monday morning.

He handled that perfectly! You don’t give him the opportunity to win his way into saving his job. There is NOBODY on staff experienced enough to be considered an interim. Anyone who says he botched Orgeron’s firing is clueless ??
