16 yo daughter in first accident

Daughter plus friends leaving a birthday dinner on Siegen lane around 10pm tonight was hit by another vehicle right before the overpass, coming from N Mall Dr. Guy nailed my daughter on the drivers side door - got out, reattached his bumper, said he was good, and then took off. The girls got a license plate, but the cop wasn’t convinced that would be enough to find the vehicle and driver. Anyone here that can find the guy responsible? License plate number 906 ETW

A license plate isn’t enough to find a car? Man, y’all’s police force is beyond crap

I know - he said he’s worked a few accidents lately where license plates were attached to old registrations where the person no longer lived at the address listed and the registration was expired.

Find someone with the DMV you can bribe into getting an address from their system with the plate #. Idk how the cops could think that's not a starting point tho when you have your daughter + witnesses that can ID the man and vehicle. Typical BR BS tho, probably too busy counting the 9mm casings off Airline.

And yes, I did a basic Google search. I’m asking for help from anyone that has access to more than Google to look it up.

Gonna be pretty tough to make anything of it unless you can canvass the area in search of places with cameras that may've captured it. Which time is always of the essence on that because they always tell you "system deletes data every x amount of days". Hopefully you have uninsured motorist coverage.

If it’s important enough go here and pay

Wow that is some horse shite.
"Here's their phone number, can you call it."
"Nah, I've called some numbers recently that were disconnected"

Speak to investigating Officers Sgt. Go down to the BRPD’s headquarters in person and request to speak to a supervisor or LT if the investigating Officers Sgt is not available.
If that cop told your daughter he couldn’t do shite about identifying the POS who left the scene of the accident, it means he’s lying to you. They have the license plate there’s plenty to investigate. The problem is, BRPD doesn’t want to.
If you know the make and model of the vehicle that hit your daughter I’d go check out those apartments behind the Sam’s Club on S. Mall Dr. the Tuscany Villas. Or those shitty section 8 apartments across the street from the Benny’s car wash, in an attempt to find the suspects car. Early in the morning would be best, since most of these shite heads sleep past 2 p.m. everyday.

You got to be in Nola or Baton Rouge
It shouldn't be hard to just type in the License Plate into his squad car and it should pop right up. I mean 99.9% of cops do this when they do a traffic stop. He may be the .1
