O's press conference today was a joke. I wish Woodward would put a muzzle on this bufoon and end this nonsense. Putting him in front of a microphone to talk to the media over the next month is asking for trouble from a man with nothing to lose. Total embarassment.

It would be nice if he'd just not say much.

The more he says, the more embarrassing it gets.

I mean the reporter that asked him about the team and Ed goes on about how Alabama is.

The reporter actually had come back and say, "no, your team." I mean geez.

"Oh yeah... I do still have a team. Kinda sorta. Yeah about that....

The defense is too predictable. Have to disguise some things."

You're a defensive minded coach, Ed. You're the one who wanted this defense. You're the one who's the HC.

All of these things are on you. I wish he'd just say some stuff like 'we're ready to go, going to be a battle" and so forth.

I just find it odd that he continues to say the same nonsense he's been saying since the UCLA game when everyone knows he's not going to be the HC for this team in 4 weeks. It's almost word for word.

"Have to simplify some things." Simplify more things? When did you simplify the other issues?

Just say "the team is looking forward to the opportunity and it's going to be a tough game." At least that's more respectful that saying a load of nonsense that no one in their right mind believes.

It's crazy how fast the tailspin went.

It boggles my mind how some still support him, as a HC. Not as a person, but as a HC.

This doesn't seem much different from any other coach who is losing his job and doesn't have the answers. DiNardo was the same when he knew he was likely going to lose his job. He talked about simplifying things on D, etc. Miles talked about changing the offense when he started losing to Arkansas, Ole Miss, etc., but nothing changed. They just said the same stuff about doing things better, bla bla bla. Orgeron already said he doesn't have the answers. At least he told the truth there. He has always said a little too much in interviews, but I'm not sure much he could say would please anyone at this point.

He could quit playing people.

He could stop pretending he has the 'answers.

Exactly.

Just say the team is trying hard, we're looking forward to the game, it's going to be tough.

it could be worse.

he could have left his wife (before they divorced obvi) and kids for a stripper named pole assassin, who has a pet monkey that mauled a trick or treater on halloween.

What? You mean he hasn't? The way the baws around here make up stuff, someone will take that and run a 54 page thread about it.

NOTE TO BOARD: When you hear a HC, or coordinator, talk about simplifying things you are in trouble. Period. That's a clear cut sign that the original plan isn't being executed, independent of whether it would've worked or not, and it isn't being executed because it isn't being communicated properly and it isn't being communicated properly because coaching is poor and coaching is poor because the HC hired the wrong guys and is unwilling to change that because of ego.

Woody does, or Ed would be gone.

Aren't you in the cult of woody?

Eds only coaching because the AD wanted it that way.

Yet Woody still has him in charge of the program.

You can't have it both ways, Chief.

Woody fricked this up, but I love how you and others act like you were in favor of firing Ed mid season.

All of you that whined about letting Ed finish the season brought this evil upon us.

I was in favor of firing him game one, Nancy.

You on the other hand will never change a narrative.

I stand corrected.

What I said is absolutely the take of many previous Ed O supporters.
