As long as you win, culture don't mean jack shite.

* Don't embarrass LSU or the brand
* Recruit Top 7 classes
* Hire great assistants and let them do their job
* Win
* Compete for SEC & NC's

Just Yesterday :

From a very reliable “Sauce”, Jimbo loves Texas. A lot of lies about him being at Odds with the administration on this board. It will take Woody going back to college station for the two of them to work together again.

know what I know… nothing comical about anything. I know a lot of people who know him personally… I’m here to tell you… it ain’t happening. Lmao like I said I know what I know. Im not here to argue. I just made a point, because I saw a lie in this thread…

Now it’s “I don’t think”

Like I said yesterday, you and your alter are a joke.

Wait and another gem today :

quote:

im sad to tell you, no one knows

You’re a fAggie alter

Again, I don’t want Jimbo, but this is getting good. The melt would be worth it.

You are mostly correct about Woodward’s method. He has one man. He had backup possibilities. He landed that one big fish. It is only a matter of time before the big fish is announced. Be patient, be excited, this is going to prove to be the biggest news of the whole college season. In fact, this will be one of the biggest events ever to be seen in LSU/college football history as it pertains to coaching hires.

My guess is it will be someone nobody was expecting.

Chris Petersen - Most have said this won't happen but Woodward and the LSU job might be the one situation that would get him to think it over. He would have more resources at his disposal than at any place he's ever been and he's a safe bet to not do anything that will embarass the school

Bill Belichick - Sounds like crazy talk but is it? Why did Woodward supposedly call Saban? Now might be the right time to pass the reigns to Josh McDaniels and move on to a new challenge. He doesn't seem like the kind of person to just retire and sit around the house plus he loves to teach ball

He admitted he doesn’t know

So “call me Ishmael” was just a ruse?

My fifth grade teacher told me she could tell I just watched the movie and didn’t read the book. Now I know why.

Follow the logic. LSU football is a billion dollar valued program with annual revenue of $150 million and profits over $50 million a year. You don’t just hire a coach. You form a long term plan of success. You eliminate/reduce your margin of error by processing through a plan. Unlike Alleva who just fired a coach with no plan Woodward is carrying out the plan. Step one is identify and secure the next coach who is phase one of the long term plan. Step two is fire the coach who is not sustainable for success. In step two you make sure that coach will not have a lingering affect beyond his current year so you pay him to go away quietly.

The $100 million number is apparently legit so we are looking at someone of that caliber. Saban being the the SEC standard would indicate we are looking at someone who has proven they can beat him while running a consistent championship program. To me it would be either Saban, Sweeney, Meyer, or Bob Stoops. I find it very off the mark to consider anyone else for this money so either the money is not legit or one of these are the top targets. Considering we could have fired O for cause but chose to pay him tells me the money is legit. I know Saban has been excluded as a possibility but don’t count Woodward out here. If anyone can lure him back to LSU he can. Don’t rule that out. If not, then one of the other 3 seems logical. If not one of these then I lean toward Brian Kelly or Luke Fickell but it won’t be $100 million. Just my 2 cents.

You are to logical for this board. I agree with you 100%.
10-12 mill a year is only offered to the best. It`s Saban
Dabo or Riley or CUM.Thats who you offer that type of money
period.Nobody else is worth it including Jimbo.

Not Nick Saban . Too old to develop a program again . Plus , Alabama gives him everything he wants . Also makes tons of money on endorsements . Use common sense .
