Witnessed a really bad accident on Hwy 73 this morning right by Dutchtown HS.
Any OT baws/bawettes witness it this morning and if you know the dad with the 2 young boys, how are they doing?
Driver of a Dodge Challenger (make your own OT conclusion) was coming out of the little strip mall parking lot like a bat of hell and spun out in the middle of 3 lanes causing an accident between a baw driving a Ford F-150 with 2 cute young boys (one in a booster seat and one in a forward facing car seat), so maybe 6 & 3. I threw my car in park on the shoulder and rushed to check on the occupants of the truck since they were the ones that were hit and clearly not at fault. Dad was already out of the truck and the older boy was either not buckled or had already unbuckled (I assume he had already unbuckled, but who knows). Got him out of the truck and checked on the younger boy. He was strapped in tight so he appeared to be all good. Obviously all 3 were in shock. Sat them all down and tended to them, while someone else called 911 and another group checked on the dumbass in the Challenger.
I had dad give me his wife's number and called her to let her know the situation and that everyone appeared to be ok. Connection was in and out, but dad ended up calling her from his work cell. Think that call was trouble too. She ended up texting me later to thank me.
Challenger driver appeared to be really fricked up and had at least one passenger (probably 2 more, by my quick count). Cops showed up to investigate/direct traffic along with EMS/fire department to tend to the injured parties. I only caught a piece of the conversation between the police, but apparently dumbass reached for a 9mm/semi-auto in the middle of emergency personnel doing their thing. Saw one of the officers remove it from the car, take the clip out on put it on his the police unit.
Any way, if any OTers know the dad, mom and kids give them my best.
If any OTers know the other driver, I hope he and his passengers are good too, but let him know he's a fricking careless POS that almost killed at least 3 people.

Pretty solid strategy.

Sounds like he’s trying to kill himself too if he’s doing this in front Of 5-0

So why don’t you text her back and ask?

Walt, I think he just wanted a reason to tell us all his story

Seems to me like he is bragging for doing a good deed

You got the wife’s digits, nice. Do you frequent community pools too by any chance? Talking nice ones in upscale neighborhoods. And if so what are your back massage skills on a scale of 1-10? Asking for a friend of mine.

“No problem, it was the right thing to do. By the way, how are dad and the two boys?”

I'm sure she's got more important things to focus on, like you know, her husband and kids, than to bother responding to me and thought someone here might know.

Well tell us what you would like for us to do. Post her number and I’ll text her and ask

Accident was a fender bender. OP sprinted into traffic banging on the trucks window screaming at the driver to give him his wife’s number like a crazy person then tried to kidnap the kids
