I'm not saying Franklin is the best coach in college football but he has done some impressive things while at Vandy and has kept Penn State in the hunt for conference championships almost every year he's been there. I get his shine may have fallen off considering what's been happening with them this year but acting like he is one of the most overrated coaches in college football is laughable.

I feel like you probably don't live in Louisiana, I know a lot of people say so and so wouldn't mesh here, but I'm telling you that Franklin would not mesh here with our fans and the culture of LSU football, I never said he was the most overrated coach in CFB, I said he's a sanctimonious imbecile.

I hope Woody is communicating with his old friend/coach on the sly. There’s a name that would be a rock star at LSU that doesn’t get mentioned on this board as much as the typical four or five names I see.

Yeah that's definitely possible and something to consider. Playing devil's advocate one of the reasons we got O is because of how great of a culture fit he was. Saban wasn't really a culture fit here either, but winning cures all. Not saying Franklin is Saban. I'm just saying that people don't care if the coach is an outsider so long as he wins games.

You said he overestimates his value. My point was that I don't see him over estimating his value as many college football programs would be happy to hire him, regardless of whether or not he is the right fit for LSU.
