You know what I think they should do? I think they should consider forfeiting the remainder of the season, and literally boot Orgeron’s dumbass back to Larose. This team shouldn’t play at all if they aren’t going to play with heart. That’s how I view it. If someone isn’t going 100% to the whistle on every motherf*king play then that’s 25 up downs at practice per every play they aren’t going 100%. If he half asses the up downs then bench his f*cking arse. If the whole team can’t go 100% then forfeit the season and gather the team and force them to do 100 up downs and run 10 full field down and backs every day for the amount of weeks that the season would be remaining as a punishment. It would save having to see the what will be a horror show against Alabama, and plus it will save injuries. I’m being dead serious, tie Orgeron to a goddamn f**king catapult and launch him all the way back to the trailer parks in Larose and forfeit the season. Start fresh next year with a new coach who isn’t mentally retarded and isn’t in it solely for the money like the con man Orgeron is. He f**ked this program in the ground. Bobby Knight didn’t build a basketball empire at Indiana without disciplining his boys through intense practices and running their asses right in the ground. Guess what? It worked. Mofo became one of the best basketball coaches the 20th century and I guarantee you Saban is doing the same thing with his team. He disciplines his players and that’s why they rarely lose, he demands perfection and that’s why he wins. Doesn’t look like that with Orgeron does it?

Your idea is probably the dumbest idea I’ve heard on this board in a while. Your goal is to have our soon to be ex coach try to kill all the players so that they all transfer out?

Imagine the damage to the program this will do financially and to the reputation of LSU. This is incredibly stupid if serious.

Pretty dumb post except for this gem that made me chuckle:

Read what I said about Bobby Knight. His players were tough as nails and played to win because he demanded excellence. Football players today are soft and self-centered. It used to be about playing for the team, now it’s about players playing for themselves. An absolute travesty

Well you do make some good points but instead of canceling the season how about we just play the players giving 100% effort even if that player is 3rd string. Then let the new coach stop all the dancing after a sack when we are getting our asses kicked and actually coach these kids up.

You are mad bc you believe the team is quitting so your answer to that is quitting.

Air tight solution there.

You do know how Bobby Knight's career at Indiana ended, right? And for all the games he won, he was pretty light when it came to winning championships.

Bobby Knight was, and is, a miserable, hateful, spiteful old bastard who represents everything wrong about coaching college sports.

And you believe the link you posted is actually an endorsement for your opinion? You're hopelessly out of touch, and you have no clue about what it takes to coach a team.

The link you posted is a casebook example of why Bobby Knight's career tailed off until they finally told him to go away. Go get some sleep, old man. You've read too many stories about coaches in the "old days," most of which are untrue.
