Was pleasantly surprised.

Went and played last weekend. Kinda of a last minute decision. They have put a lot of work in out there. It is a complete turnaround from where that course was 6 months ago. The grass was cut down and the greens were in pretty decent shape.

LSU golf course

Over the past decade the reports from this course range anywhere from Augusta National to overgrown and unkept abandoned course.

Seems like there’s no in between.

Yes it’s probably in better condition now than it’s been in a long time
And yes they have grass on the greens now. Little slow but they roll

Also tee times aplenty

These LSU Course reviews always remind why places like the Bluffs will never make it.

This can’t be real. I’m gonna check out this weekend. Always loved the lay out and the fact it’s usually slow.
Last time I was there the greens were sand traps.

I’m not sure where the OP got this from. Played there twice last week, front nine one day back the next. Fairways are still cut 2 inches deep making it possible to hit it down the middle and not find your ball. The greens are still largely un-playable every one is unputtable unless you’re in the 10 foot grass circle where they place the pin.

All of that being said, $15 for 9 and range balls is what it is

It's in terrible shape. I guess it's better than last year when they opened back up after closing down for covid and not touching the course.

I played two weeks ago with my son and my ball was sitting down in the grass on the middle of the fairway. The fairways are basically rough. I know what Im getting playing there, and it's great for taking my kids bc it's not very crowded and cheap.

These threads make me sad. I used to bring an ice chest of beer and pay the $7 to do the pitch and putt course. Stay there for hours under the lights and drink and work on the short game. Good memories.

I played it 6 months ago and it was literally the worst course I have ever played. And I've played some dogshit courses.

Greens were un-puttable.

Was a waste of time.

Play LSU Sunday morning. Much improved from a month ago. At least now you have grass on the green where you can putt(when I last played, we did a 2 putt max.). There are alot of planted sods on the green which can make a bumpy putt. Fairways need to be cut down a little lower because you will not see your until you walk close to it. Can't beat the price.
