I’m glad Tuckers name is being discussed as it is a smokescreen.

No way this happens. Zero chance.

You don't want to bomb on a hire this important.

Agreed
He knows his legacy will be affected by this hire more than any other professional move and I don’t see him as the type to be bullied by race politics
He’s too smart and his ego is too big

He's 17th in recruiting in Michigan and hasn't beaten anyone. We have a big chance to knock it out of the park. This is a make or break hire for the team and for Woodward. Why would we waste it on a forced minority hire?

I think we could lure Franklin here. None of us gives a shite what color he is. But Franklin is way more qualified and after Fickell I think he's the top candidate.

Choosing a coach because he is black is racism. Hire the best guy for the job. I’d take Franklin because of his accomplishments, not Bc he is black.

I do Not want Tucker. I would much prefer Dave Aranda

Hire the best man for the job regardless of what all the experts on TD.com think

Tate may be dictating the hire.

If Tate is really going to dictate this, I’d resign if I was Woodward. He can get a great new job tomorrow.

Will Tate fire SW for insubordination?

His name was leaked for a reason IMO.

And the reason is not because he will be LSU’s next HC or is necessarily a target.

It was leaked so that people are aware that he is being considered to be LSU’s next coach.

Fans need to chill out. Woodward knows what he’s doing.

Tate, a new prez, will quickly learn that Woodward holds the political capital unless there’s prominent boosters, et al. who also want Mel Tucker.

Who has more power in Tuscaloosa - Saban or Byrne?

Ok, I get the leak and smokescreen angle but why leak someone that causes racial strife because perception is there are several candidates more qualified.

If Woody is targeting big game, Napier or any other 2nd tier quality will work.

So getting burned by Devonta Smith is an automatic disqualifier?
