20 players from just the 2019 roster under O were either drafted or signed free agent deals.
22 players overall drafted under Saban in 5 years and 31 in O’s 4 years (39 if you include his time as the interim) I didn’t get the numbers for how many players each coach recruited that went to the nfl, just the players that played under each coach to show the different talent level each coach had to work with.

Well…yeah

Team 1 hadn’t won a title in 50 years
Team 2 had won 2 in 16 years

Saban's losses were mostly at the beginning of his tenure.

O's were at the end. Those mean completely different trajectories for the program.

There is no comparing the two. Saban arrived to a program on a decade long slide and turned them into National Champions. O arrived to a team in decline but well stacked with talent. If you reversed the situations you may find it difficult to believe O does what Saban did.

Saban did not have to coach against or recruit against another Nick Saban…

Saban had Emmert;
Orgeron had CRTate.

Which one wanted better football?

Saban was 4-2 to start the season his final year and finished 9-3. Obviously better than Orgeron, but in 2004, we were out of the SEC race the first week of October.

It took Saban going to the NFL for two years to transform from a top 10 college coach to the greatest coach of all time.

There is nothing to look into.

It is a completely BS argument made by Ed’s sycophants that looks only at one metric while ignoring every other one just to make O look good.

Saban and Ed sis not take over equal LSU programs.

This entire argument should be ignored.

And Ed could never dream of being a top 10 college coach.

Not sure it matters for the OP's argument, but I think there are a lot of young guys who don't appreciate this. Saban was so fortunate to catch the one time period where both Alabama AND Florida were in coaching spirals. The seas really did part for LSU.

Holy god, let’s try really hard to not minimize what Saban has done as a college coach. Comparing him to O is something I simply cannot comprehend. This has to be a troll. No way people are truly this stupid.

Ugh, OP stop posting.

Actually, LSU had only been on a 2-year slide ('98 and '99). LSU won 27 games and 3 bowl wins from 1995-1997. Also, the 1999, 2000 and 2001 teams that Dinardo mostly recruited had more NFL signees than the 2002-2004 teams. The talent was there before Saban got there, he just coached them better than Dinardo :)
Fun fact - Saban lost less than 3 games only once at LSU. He was 3-2 in bowl games.

Also in the last 5 years , LSU has won more games against top 10 teams than any other teams . 13 , bama / Georgia tied with 9.

I’ve been saying this.

I don’t see why more people don’t get this.

This a dumb argument, but just to keep things factual, Saban lost 3 or more games every year he was at LSU, except the national title year where he lost 1. That includes his final year, where he lost 3.

Listen saban built the program back from the ashes! In 1999 we were 4-9 or something god awful. Saban completely rebuilt it! O has mismanaged it to the point all the elite recruiting classes have us ranked outside the top 25 it’s hard to believe how bad he has Fd it up!

The only time Saban and O's name should be in the same sentence is when you say, "Did O get Saban his coffee yet?"

O could’ve won 3 championships in a row then had the covid season and this season and it wouldn’t matter. A lot of guys on this board never wanted him so no matter what he did they coming for him the first chance they got.

Jimbo won a NC at Fla St then ran the program in the ground but many still want him. It’s not about the record it’s about the man with a lot of people here.

It’s the reason for the whole shrimp boat captain thing. He was never good enough. He’s a guy from down the bayou which to a lot makes him unqualified.
