Legit question on Aranda and recruiting.

How involved was he and how much credit does he get for the defensive recruiting when he was here?

Looks like he was the Secondary on most of them but can you imagine being taught by him in the film room.

I seem to recall that Aranda wasn’t considered an elite recruiter and heavily relied on the assistants to close deals. Our last three hires were all known as elite recruiters.

I think his labeling of questionable recruiting is not accurate.
Look at all the elite prospects O has gotten that are gone or never played? If you can coach and win then you can get elite talent to LSU. LSU is at a level where it doesnt have to be recruited from the ground up like after Hallman.

Recruiting is the only reason I’m not all in on Aranda.
Big wish list on this board is teaming up Aranda with Herman as his Offensive Coordinator. Now to make it rain down arrows, combine them with O as head recruiter, and I’m in!
