This place did test on Trex decks and such. Good Info here. Their product looks very good. Just a bit pricey.
deck protect

I would get the granite 1/4 - 1/2" off the wood deck. That granite will get hot and go straight to the wood.

had the breeo doubleflame 24". Only became "smokeless" after like 25 minutes of blazing fire. Which... is basically true of any fire. i sold it after about a year and a half when i built my outdoor space with a fireplace. Had no issues with it but i definitely think they are overrated. JMO

everyone still happy with their Breeos? I finally used my little Solo Stove for the first time and i love it. Ive been looking at the 30" Breeo (Corten, not SS).

I like mine so far. You do have to get a decent fire before it is smokeless. I have the Corten as it is just starting the patina/rust at the bottom after a couple fires and a little damp weather.

The trick is to start your log cabin and then push your embers to the edge. I can get it smokeless in about 15 minutes. Then you can start filling the middle.

Some people modify Solo stoves by adding heat reflecting shields (similar to what you would see on an out-door propane heater 'pole'). Watch kids around a Solo stove because it may not be obvious to them that it's really hot.

Good advice here. I didn't want to spend the money on deckprotect, so I put the Breeo on a granite slab. It was not raised and by the second burn, my deck caught fire.

Gonna spend the money on the deckprotect now. The heat from the bottom of those things gotta be intense. The granite on the edge of the fire pit was warm, but not hot. The center must have been blistering hot.
