Feels like they’ve figured out a formula for good Batman. Nolan laid the groundwork. Very dark, heavy villain story plot, less emphasis on Batman and gadgets, more emphasis on crime and solving the crime
Do not like the return to an old school batmobile. It feels cheesy and like an unnecessary throwback. The richest man in Gotham by far, but he suits up an old muscle car for his high tech crime fighting ride? The Nolan era tank car felt much more appropriate for modern Batman

It’s very dark but it’s very purposeful. The long night from GOT they tried to make it dark and went overboard. This feels much more correct, like Helms deep in LOTR

The Nolan car made it obvious that Batman is a rich man, which considerably narrows down who Batman might be. It shouldn't be that obvious.

Agreed. One of the best observations about Nolan's Batman was why didn't Gotham ever stop to think "who's the one guy in town who could afford all this shite"

I lol how they keep shooting him in his chest / lower body when clearly his suit is bullet proof and they could easily shoot him in his face.
I do like how dark and gritty it looks though.

Batman is and always has been my favorite super hero.
I really hope this movie has more actual detective work showing him solving puzzles and tracking people down.
